Some 5,000 Iranian journalists to get preferential loans for housing

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has ordered to provide 5,000 journalists with preferential loans amounting to $30,000 each to purchase homes, Culture and Islamic Guidance Minister Mohammad Hosseini said today in Tehran.

Each year, Mordad 17 (August 8) is Journalism Day in Iran. According to media outlets, there are over 8,000 journalists in the country.
