Iranian top official visits Iraq

An Iranian delegation led by Iran's First Vice President Mohammad Reza Rahimi left for Iraq today, iribnews reported.

During the two-day visit, he will meet with Iraqi officials and attend the Iranian-Iraqi joint commission. The officials are expected to sign an agreement on cooperation.

On his visit, Reza Rahimi is accompanied by Iran’s ministers of communication, road and town building, agriculture, and other officials.

Iran and Iraq shared a turnover of $4.48 billion during the last solar year. Rahimi says this figure can increase to $ 10 billion. Rahimi will visit Iraq with a 200- member delegation to discuss economic ties with Iraq.
