Georgian FM: UN General Assembly to vote for resolution on status of internally displaced people and refugees

The UN General Assembly will vote for a resolution on the status of internally displaced people and refugees from Abkhazia and the Tskhinvali region on June 29.

This issue initiated by the Georgian side is submitted for an annual session of the UN General Assembly. The number of countries supporting it annually increases, Deputy Foreign Minister Nino Kalandadze said at a briefing.
She said that the document is of a humanitarian character, rather than political.

Kalandadze stressed that the Georgian side spares no effort for the resolution to be supported by many countries.
