Iran modifies Su-24 aircraft

Today, a rocket with a laser warhead has been successfully launched from a Su-24 aircraft, the Iranian Fars news agency quotes Iranian Deputy Commander for Operative Matters of the Iranian Military Air Forces Seyyed Mohammad Alevi as saying.

"At present, it will be possible to launch a long range surface-to-air laser warhead as a result of changes to the battle management system of the aircraft by our specialists’ efforts," Alevi said.

In-flight refueling of a SU 24 aircraft by another aircraft was demonstrated at the parade for the first time on the Day of Armed Forces of Iran on April 18.
