Bomb threat at Yerevan State University

On March 23, at 12:50 p.m. Kentron Police department was alerted that the dean of Chemistry Faculty of Yerevan State University received an anonymous phone call saying that there was a bomb planted there.

The students were evacuated. Officers of the Armenian National Security Service, Emergency Situations Ministry and Rescue Service, as well as dog experts arrived at the site, photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan said.

At the moment search operations are being conducted at the university.  As a result, severe traffic jam untied on Alek Manukyan Street. Yerevan Traffic Police is trying to regulate the traffic at the site.
