Number of influenza victims in Georgia hits 40 people

The number of influenza victims in Georgia has reached 40 people. As the Georgian National Center for Disease Control told Trend, two more people died from the H1N1 virus during the past day.

In the first case the disease was complicated by chronic illness, while in the second case the reason was the patient’s late appeal to doctor.

Since early year Georgia recorded 29 fatal cases from the "swine flu", while the remaining 11 fatal cases accounted for influenza A and B.

Doctors urge the Georgian population to appeal doctor in time and not to try to be treated at home.
