Serzh Sargsyan: There are certain progresses in Azerbaijan’s position after Sochi meeting

11 March 2011 [13:36] - TODAY.AZ
Commenting on the results of Sochi meeting, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan said there were certain progresses in Azerbaijan’s position.

Addressing the Armenian community in Riga, Sargsyan said a week ago he couldn’t expect any positive result in the solution to Nagorno Karabakh conflict.

"But after the meting in Sochi on March 5, I can say there are certain progresses in the position of Azerbaijan. Probably we can reach certain agreement on the solution principles in the future. The question is about the basic principles proposed by the co-chairs – non-use of force, self-determination and territorial integrity. A new phase of the negotiations can be started after these principles are coordinated. Many issues will be concretized in this phase. I would like to say that coordination of the basic principles is only a start the negotiations".
