Two convicts executed in Tehran

28 December 2010 [12:25] - TODAY.AZ
Two convicted were executed in the Tehran Evin Prison on Tuesday morning, the ILNA news agency said.
Prisoner Ali Sarem was convicted of membership in a terrorist group and Ali Akbar Siadat- of spying for Israeli intelligence service Mossad. According to the Iranian agency Irna, Siadat was arrested in 2008, when "trying to leave the country with his wife."

Tehran has repeatedly accused the Israeli secret service of intervening in domestic affairs. In early December, the Iranian Intelligence Ministry reported about the arrest of several people on suspicion of involvement in the murder of a nuclear physicist Majeed Shahriyari, announcing that the organization of this attack is the Mossad.

Both were charged of being "muharib".

Those who spoke against Allah, the Prophet and the Islamic government, are known as "muharib". The articles 183-196 of the Iranian Constitution envisage exile and the death penalty towards "muharib" and someone who intervened in an attempt to "overthrow the Islamic government".
