Iran-Uzbekistan economic commission holds 10th meeting

The 10th round meeting of Iran-Tajikistan Joint Economic Commission will be held in Tehran, Iranian Commerce Minister Mahdi Ghaznfari announced.
The announcement was made at a meeting between Ghazanfari and Uzbek ambassador to Iran, Elham Akramov.

The meeting will be held on January 17-18, he said adding that the meeting is aimed at reviewing ways of expanding trade and economic ties between Iran and Uzbekistan.

The two sides will sign at least 4 memorandums of understanding to boost commercial ties and joint investments between the two countries' private sectors, Ghazanfari mentioned.

He said that the meeting will be co-chaired by Iranian Commerce Minister and Uzbek Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister.

Akramov, for his part, announced readiness to boost economic and commercial ties with Iran, delivering a list of Uzbek companies interested in making investment in Iran's industrial and commercial projects.
