Iran appoints new state spokesman

The Iranian Cabinet of Ministers appointed First Vice President Mohammad Reza Rahimi as its Political, Social and Cultural Issues Spokesman.
Iranian Presidential Apparatus head Isfandiyar Rahim Meshai said President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad appointed Economics Minister Shamsaddin Hussein as economics spokesman.

During Ahmadinejad's last term, former Prosecutor Gulamhussein Ilham was spokesman.

The spokesman announces the Cabinet of Ministers' decisions.
