Georgian athlete Chabuka Chigladze earned the title of the Vice Champion at the Rock Lifting World Cup on Sunday in Mosonmagyaróvár, Hungary, Azernews reports, citing AGENDA.
Chigladze finished second in the competition that involved athletes from 10 countries, and said he was glad to score the result after “many wrote me off from sports following my [recent] injury”.
The rock lifter added he was looking forward to “new challenges” and hoped to “close out the season on a high”.
Chigladze’s short-term plans include making a Guinness World Record attempt on Thursday with fellow Georgian Bagrat Zhghenti.
