Kazakhstan names new deputy energy minister

Mahambet Dosmukhambetov has been appointed the first deputy minister of energy of Kazakhstan, the Energy Ministry said.

Dosmukhambetov earlier served as director general of Embamunaigas and as chief geologist, deputy chairman of the board on major projects and senior vice-president on major non-operating assets and offshore projects at KazMunaiGas.

Previously, Dosmukhambetov also served as deputy head of Mangistaumunaigas and headed the geology departments of KazMunaiGas and Kazakhoil.
