U.S. President Barack Obama hopes to receive Ukraine's interim acting prime minister Arseny Yatsenyuk in Washington Wednesday, March 12, White House official spokesman Jay Carney said Sunday, ITAR-TASS reported.
He indicated that Yatsenyuk's visit would underline the serious support the U.S. was giving to the people of Ukraine.
Carney said the sides would discuss the ways of a peaceful resolution of the current tense situation.
Along with it, Obama and Yatsenyuk would consider the support that the international community might give to Ukraine, he said.
