The Syrian government says the Montreux peace conference is biased
against it and accuses organizers of being "imbalanced" in their
selection of participants. dpa reported.
"Today we had 40
countries seemingly pre-selected in a way that most of them would be
anti-Syrian delegations... governments who have hostile policies towards
the Syrian government," Syria's ambassador to the UN, Bashar Jaafari,
tells reporters.
"But at the same time, paradoxically, the [UN]
secretary general excluded Iran ... this created an imbalance in the
format of the talks."
