Georgia promises transparent presidential election to U.S.

Georgian government has given guarantees to U.S. to hold presidential election in accordance with the highest international standards, Georgian Foreign Ministry Maya Pandjikidze said Georgian journalists in Washington after meeting with Deputy Secretary of State Williams Burns.

The Georgian delegation led by Pandzhikidze and the chief prosecutor hold official meetings in the United States.

At a meeting at the State Department, the sides discussed the upcoming presidential elections in Georgia.
