Armenia's land claims go against UN and OSCE principles - Turkey's FM

Armenia's claims on Turkish lands contradict the principles of such international organizations as the UN and the OSCE. Yerevan is a member of these organizations, the Turkish Foreign Ministry said today.

During the Pan-Armenian Forum of Lawyers in Yerevan on July 5, Armenian Prosecutor General Aghvan Hovsepyan said that Armenia must return its lost territories from Turkey.

According to the Turkish Foreign Ministry, an Armenian government official's statement is rather frivolous.

"Everybody must understand that no one has the right to demand lands from Turkey," a statement said.
