Putin couple announces divorcement

Russian President Vladimir Putin and Lyudmila Putina announced that their marriage is completed, RIA Novosti reported on Thursday.

The president and his wife visited the ballet "Esmeralda" at the State Kremlin Palace on Thursday evening. After ballet they gave an interview to the "Russia 24" TV channel.

Responding to a reporter's question, whether it is a divorce, Lyudmila Putina said "Yes, we can say that this is a civilized divorce."
