Reyhanli bombings aim to spoil tranquility in Turkey - Gul

A terror attack in Reyhanl? city of Hatay province is an attempt to destabilize the situation in Turkey, as well as to create hostility between Turkish citizens and refugees from Syria, TRT Haber TV channel quotes Turkish President Abdullah Gul as saying on Thursday.

Gul said the perpetrators of the blasts in Reyhanl? will be brought to justice and punished.
Gul called on Reyhanl? residents not to succumb to provocations, and continue further to be tolerant towards Syrian refugees who find refuge in Turkey.

Turkish President arrived in Reyhanl? on Thursday to get acquainted with the situation in the city after the attack.

The number of those detained over the terror act in the city of Reyhanli in the Turkish Hatay Province reached 13. Four of them were arrested, while investigation is underway on others.

Two vehicles packed with explosives blew up near the town hall and industrial area of Hatay.

As a result, 51 people died and 155 were injured. According to the Turkish Interior Ministry, 11 community buildings, 293 residential houses and 450 offices belonging to private firms were seriously damaged and 62 cars were rendered unfit for use.
