Georgian leader:'Return of Abkhazia should begin from Kutaisi'

Return of Abkhazia should begin from Kutaisi Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili said during the event dedicated to the day of the city at updatet Lado Meskhishvili in Kutaisi on Wednesday Theater.

He told why Kutaisi is becoming the second capital of Georgia and why the legislature moved to the country.

"The revival of Kutaisi is the beginning of establishing control over West Georgia. We will return Abkhazia from Kutaisi. It is our geopolitics" he said.

Saakashvili also touched upon the development of Tbilisi and said that Tbilisi is a center of not only Georgia, but also administrative and cultural center of the Caucasus.

"The role of Tbilisi doesn't diminish, but increases. There has never been such a construction in Georgia as now. But Georgia - is not only Tbilisi, Georgia needs decentralization and unloading of Tbilisi," he said.

The President once again reminded that the first session of the parliament transferred to Kutaisi will be held on May 26 and the new parliament will be operating in Kutaisi since autumn.
