Ahmadinejad aims to end Iran unemployment

12 March 2012 [09:27] - TODAY.AZ
Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said he could end unemployment by the end of his second term if his enemies let him, Fars news agency reports.

Mr. Ahmadinejad underscored his administration's commitment to justice, mentioning the elimination of subsidies for energy and commodities as a case in point. The Iranian government pays its citizens about $45 a month to replace the subsidies.

The president said foreign and domestic enemies have tried to destroy the subsidies program. The sharp devaluation of Iran's currency, the rial, against the dollar and the higher demand in the gold market are examples of efforts against the public cited by Mr. Ahmadinejad. If authorities work together they can eliminate unemployment in Iran he added.
