Tbilisi condemns attacks on Israeli diplomats

The Georgian Foreign Ministry of Affairs strongly condemns explosion of the vehicle of the Israeli Embassy in India and the similar attempt in Tbilisi. "Georgia, as one of the stakeholders of the regional and international peace and security, is vitally interested in safeguarding the diplomatic personnel accredited in Georgia," the Foreign Ministry's statement says.

Both incidents took place last Monday. An embassy employee was injured as a result of explosion of the bomb placed in the vehicle of the Israeli embassy in Delhi, while similar explosive device was defused in Tbilisi. According to the Georgian Interior Ministry, an explosive device was found in the private car of Georgian citizen Roman Khachaturian, who works as a driver at the Israeli Embassy in Georgia.
