Today, Azerbaijan and Egypt have signed three intergovernmental agreements in Baku, Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Aboul Gheit said during a joint press conference with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov.
The agreements were signed in the field of youth and sport, abolition of visa regime for diplomatic representatives and cooperation between Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy and the diplomatic school of Egypt. The last agreement was signed by Egyptian ambassador to Azerbaijan Sabir Mansur and head of the Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy Hafiz Pashayev.

The agreements were signed within Ahmed Aboul Gheit's two-day visit to Baku. Speaking about the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Egyptian Foreign Minister said that it is necessary to resolve it peacefully.

"Nagorno-Karabakh conflict must be resolved peacefully, that is, through negotiations, by respecting the interests of all parties, as well as with the participation of the OSCE Minsk Group," he said.

Aboul Gheit stressed a high level of political and international cooperation between Azerbaijan and Egypt. During a meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliev, Egyptian Foreign Minister will give a letter of Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak. He said it will further strengthen the relations between the two countries.
