Monument to the founder of Turkey erected in Baku

A monument has been erected to founder of Turkey Mustafa Kemal Ataturk in Baku.
The monument is erected in Nasimi district at the intersection of Samad Vurgun and Bakikhanov streets in front of the Turkish Embassy. Baku City Administration official Khalid Alakbarov confirmed that that monument to Ataturk has been erected.

The monument is closed with a white veil. Reportedly, the opening ceremony is scheduled for May 16. According to unofficial information, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan will attend the opening ceremony.
