
Chairman of the Supreme Majlis of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic (NAR) Vasif Talybov met with visiting governors of Turkish provinces of Kars, Ardahan and Igdir Ahmet Kara, Mustafa Tekmen and Sayim Saffet Karahisarli.
Vasif Talybov noted cooperation with Turkish provinces adjoining NAR plays an important role in Turkey-Azerbaijan relations.
“We walk down the “path” defined by both countries' leaders. This path is continued by heads of our states,” said Talybov.
He said a number of important economic projects had been realized in the region. Chairman of the Supreme Majlis pointed out the 87km-long Nakhchivan-Sadarak highway will be reconstructed and extended to Turkey by the end of this year.
Igdir governor Sayim Saffet Karahisarli, Kars governor Ahmet Kara and Ardahan governor Mustafa Tekmen underlined Turkey-Azerbaijan friendship is eternal. Turkish consul in Nakhchivan Ayhan Enginar was present at the meeting.
