Azerbaijan-NATO cooperation discussed in Brussels

NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen and head of the Azerbaijani Mission to the alliance Kamil Khasiyev discussed prospects of the Azerbaijan-NATO cooperation, the Foreign Ministry reported with reference to the representation.

The sides discussed issues of political dialogue and practical cooperation, praised the role of the the Individual Partnership Action Plan mechanism in the development of partnerships.

Rasmussen praised Azerbaijan's contribution to restoring stability in Afghanistan and the country's participation in peacekeeping operations of the alliance.
