Date of Czech Deputy PM's visit to Azerbaijan announced

Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of the Czech Republic Jan Kohout will arrive for his first official visit to Azerbaijan May 13-14, Czech ambassador Radek Matula said.

During Deputy Prime Minister's two-day visit to Baku prospects of development of Azerbaijani-Czech bilateral relations will be discussed.

The talks with the Azerbaijani side will focus on the development of cooperation between the two countries both bilaterally and at international level, the Ambassador of Azerbaijan in Czech Tahir Taghizadeh said earlier.

Kohout will hold talks with his counterpart Elmar Mammadyarov, and hold meetings in the country's Parliament and Government.

Embassy of the Czech Republic operates in Azerbaijan since last autumn, but the official ceremony of its opening has not yet held.

According to Matula, Czech Embassy's official opening is planned during Kohout's visit in mid-May.
