Delegation of Azerbaijan President's Administration visits Ankara

Azerbaijan's delegation led by chief of Presidential Administration Ramiz Mehdiyev arrived in Turkey with an official visit.
In Esenboga airport the delegation was welcomed by Mustafa Isen, chief of the Secretariat of the Turkish President, and Zakir Hashimov, Azerbaijan`s ambassador to Turkey.

Delegation of Azerbaijan paid tribute to the Anitkabir and laid a wreath at the mausoleum of the founder of the Turkish Republic Mustafa Kamal Ataturk. Ramiz Mehdiyev signed the Book of Guests and got acquainted with the museum of Anitkabir.

The same day, the delegation met with Mr. Serdar Kilic, secretary general of the National Security Council of Turkey.

Parties underlined high level of fraternal relations between the two countries, and focused on the prospects of cooperation.

Then, the delegation met with the chairman of foreign relations committee of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (GNAT) Murad Mercan, who stated that “the problems of Azerbaijan are their problems.”

Ramiz Mehdiyev, in particular, said: “Today, I have arrived on my native land and I meet here my brothers. The statement of the great leader Heydar Aliyev, “One nation, and two states” has deep sense. It, first of all, is connected with the historical past of the Turkic people. We are, indeed, one nation. Simply, historical processes have led to establishment of two states. Currently, mutual relations between two states are at the highest level. It is very pleasant to share our views here, to talk to our brothers.”

Then, the delegation led by chief of Presidential Administration Ramiz Mehdiyev visited the Gazi University in Ankara. The University`s rector Riza Aykhan informed in detail on this higher educations institution. At the Conference Hall Ramiz Mehdiyev lectured on the topic “Current state in Azerbaijan and Azerbaijani-Turkish relations”.

Ramiz Mehdiyev, in particular, said: “Construction of the independent Azerbaijan state has begun with returning of the great leader Heydar Aliyev to the power in 1993. After signing of “The Contract of the Century” that laid the foundation for economic rise, in our country the process of building a democratic, legal state has intensified. Successor of the policy of the great leader President Ilham Aliyev serves his nation worthily. The head of the state has proclaimed priority spheres for modernization of life in the country, development of economic and political systems up to level of the European standards, construction of a competitive innovative society.”

Further, Ramiz Mehdiyev said: “Azerbaijan is the most dynamically developing country of the Southern Caucasus and the leader in the world on rates of increase of gross domestic product. Our foreign policy is pursued on the balanced basis. Special place in this policy is related to the brotherly Turkey. Our relations have no analogue in region and the world. Azerbaijan, once feeling support of Turkey, now became stronger and is support of Turkey.”

After lecture, Ramiz Mehdiyev answered the questions of students. Visiting the Cankaya Palace, the delegation led by Ramiz Mehdiyev, got acquainted with the principle of work of the Secretary of the President of Turkey. The guests also visited Ataturk`s House.

Then, the delegation visited the Ali Dogramaci Pasha Mosque in Bilkent, laid a wreath on the tomb of Professor Ihsan Dogramaci, a great friend of Azerbaijan. Ramiz Mehdiyev also visited the family of Dogramaci and extended condolences.
