
Sufficient funds have been allocated for the diplomatic corps abroad and opening of new embassies from the state budget of Azerbaijan this year, Deputy Foreign Minister Vagif Sadigov said.
This year Azerbaijan will open about 9 diplomatic missions abroad, Deputy Foreign Minister Vagif Sadigov said.
There is a corresponding decree of Azerbaijani President. This process is carried out by the decision of the Azerbaijani Parliament, Sadigov added.
The embassies will be opened in Serbia, Oman, Argentina, Thailand, Croatia, Libya, Lebanon and Estonia, but the Consulate General - in Batumi.
At present, about 65 diplomatic missions of Azerbaijan operate abroad.
Moreover, some diplomats will be rotated, the deputy minister said.
