Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Elmar Mammadyarov met OSCE PA`s President Joao Soares on March 15.

The talks focused on settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
Mammadyarov said Armenia, violating the norms and principles of international law, had occupied Azerbaijan`s territories.
He underlined to achieve settlement of the conflict, Yerevan must stop the occupation.
The Minister stressed the necessity of stage-by-stage solution to the dispute with the liberation of the occupied territories as the first step.
“The further steps include restoring of communications and return of IDPs` to their lands.” He added the final stage of the solution would see determination of the status of the Nagorno-Karabakh region.
The Minister underlined this variant of solution was the most acceptable one to secure peace and security in the region.
Soares, in turn, said he agrees with Azerbaijan`s stance on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. He noted the time had come to solve the conflict, and this opportunity must be used.
