U.S official: U.S. desires to build strong relations with Azerbaijan remains unchanged

The U.S continues to advocate the strengthening of relations with Azerbaijan, "U.S. Undersecretary of State for Political Affairs William Burns said.

"I am glad to come to Azerbaijan for the first time since 1992. Much has changed in Azerbaijan and the rest of the world, but one thing has remained constant - a U.S. desire to build strong relations with Azerbaijan," he said today on results of his Baku visit.

According to him, he met with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and discussed a wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation.

"I will do everything in my power to build stronger relations between our governments and peoples of our countries," Burns said.
