OSCE PA winter session to discuss Khojaly tragedy

The Khojaly tragedy will be discussed during the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly’s Winter Meeting to be held on 18-19 February in Vienna, member of the Azeri delegation to the OSCE PA Eldar Ibrahimov said.
“The delegation will raise the question over the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, especially the Khojaly tragedy, and distribute photo and video material to around 240 OSCE parliamentarians.”

Ibrahimov said the Azeri MPs will also have private meetings with their colleagues, including the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Kazakhstan’s Foreign Minister Kanat Saudabayev to exchange views on the Karabakh problem.

According to him, parliamentarians from the Southern Caucasus are expected to meet OSCE PA Special Representative on Nagorno-Karabakh Goran Lennmarker to discuss current state of ongoing talks concerning the longstanding conflict.

Among the speakers during the two-day session will be the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, OSCE PA President Joao Soares, OSCE Secretary General Marc Perrin de Brichambaut, and several heads of OSCE Institutions.

The situation in Afghanistan, presidential elections in Ukraine and a gender issue will be some of the main focus at the meeting.
