14:13Speaker of the Azerbaijani parliament put forward a proposal to appeal to the U.S President.
"Despite the Congress has made a decision to give assistance for Armenian community of the Nagorno-Karabakh, the U.S President has not approved this document yet. So, we must establish a commission and appeal to both U.S President Barack Obama and the Congress," the Azerbaijani Parliament speaker Oqtay Asadov said today.
The generalized bill on budget of the U.S state organizations for 2010 fiscal year was approved at a joint conference of the Senate and the House of Representatives of the U.S Congress on Dec. 8.
Asadov said that if this appeal is approved, the U.S President is unlikely to approve the decision envisaging assistance to separatists.
The commission including MPs Mussa Guliyev, Ali Huseynov, Nasib Nasibli, Yevda Abramov, Elman Mammadov, Rovshan Rzayev and Gulyar Ahmadova was set up at speaker's initiative.
Asadov put forward the proposal for the commission to prepare a corresponding appeal during a day and submit it to the parliament.
