CoE Congress of Local and Regional Authorities observation mission to trip to Azerbaijan again

A delegation of the Council of Europe Congress of Local and Regional Authorities will be on a visit to Azerbaijan on Dec. 20-24 to monitor country's municipal election on Dec. 23.

Five observers of the Congress will observe the voting process in several cities of Azerbaijan.

The delegation is headed by Gaye Doganoglu (Turkey) and consists of Nigel Mermagen (Britain), Istvan Borbeli (Hungary), Dobrika Milovanovic (Serbia) and Gudrun Mosler-Tjornstorm (Austria).

The delegation visited Baku on Dec. 7-8 to learn pre-election situation and met with the government officials, Azerbaijani delegation to the Congress, diplomatic corps in Baku, as well as media and NGO representatives.
