Azerbaijani president receives chief of “Ago” monitoring group

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received chairman of the “Ago” Monitoring Group of the Council of Europe`s Council of Ministers, Romania`s Permanent Representative to the Council of Europe, Stelian Stoian and his accompanying delegation on Nov. 25.

Stelian Stoian thanked the Head of State for providing conditions to bring a group`s itenerary into existence.

Stoian recalled President Ilham Aliyev`s fruitful activity in the Council of Europe, adding CoE has close relationship with Azerbaijan. The diplomat found the need to search for the ways of intensifying cooperation with Azerbaijan in the years to come.

He stressed the importance for CoE member states to support one another.

President Ilham Aliyev highlighted the importance of the “Ago” monitoring group`s visit to Azerbaijan, saying this visit provides the forum for learning more about Azerbaijan and meet people.

Discussions also revolved around prospects for cooperation between Azerbaijan and “Ago” monitoring group.
