Azerbaijani president receives Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia

The Head of State noted Patriarch`s visit will help develop relationship between the two states.

“It is a good opportunity for strengthening ties between our states and also for the development of interreligious dialogue,” said President Ilham Aliyev

According to Azerbaijani leader, Russia-Azerbaijan ties are developing rapidly, bringing benefits to both peoples.

Patriarch Kirill said Azerbaijan is a role model for other countries since good cooperation exist between Muslims and Orthodox believers.

He expressed gratitude for the level of interreligious relations and the place the Orthodox Church occupies in Azerbaijan.
