U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Tina Kaidanow arrived in Azerbaijan on Oct. 22.

As part of a visit, she will hold a series of meetings with senior officials of the Azerbaijani government.
"I am very glad to be here. This is my first visit to Azerbaijan. I look forward to meeting with local people. I look forward to meeting with your president, foreign minister and other officials,” Kaidanow said.
“We will hold a joint meeting regarding a number of issues. I will try to tell them that Azerbaijan is strategically important for our country, we appreciate the relations with Azerbaijan. We hope to develop relations between our countries in the future,” Kaidanow said in Baku.
