Azerbaijan's Milli Mejlis (parliament) has began its autumn session.

The lawmakers touched upon the Azerbaijani-Turkish relations during the discussion of current issues.
Vice Speaker Bahar Muradova said that there was no need to dramatize removal of Turkish flags in the Alley of Martyrs in Baku.
“It was carried out as soon as the law on use of flags of foreign countries and international organizations in Azerbaijan took effect”.
MP Ikram Israfil said it was necessary to declare September 15, the day of liberation of Baku by Turkish soldiers, a Day of Turkish-Azerbaijan friendship to end tension between Azerbaijan and Turkey.
MP Igbal Aghazadeh proposed to hang the Turkish flag in highest place of Azerbaijan. “The removal of Turkish flags will give confidence to the enemy."
First Vice Speaker Ziyafat Asgarov reminded that not only Turkish, but Azerbaijani flag was also removed from the Turkish Martyrdom in Baku.
“Why don’t you mention insult towards the Azerbaijani flag in Turkey? When I saw our flag in that situation I felt insulted. We want Turkish officials to take national interests of Azerbaijan into consideration”.
