Azerbaijani MP to attend a workshop in Lithuania

"Akhundova will represent Azerbaijan at the workshop to be held in Vilnius on Oct.19-23," the parliamentary press office said.

Parliamentarians of all GUAM member states have been invited to event titled "Parliament and Elections" to be organized by Lithuanian parliament.

The GUAM was established by the post-Soviet countries - Georgia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan and Moldova in 1997 during the EU summit of heads of states in Strasbourg.

The meeting will focus on exchange views on procedures for holding elections and the parliament's role in this process.

"Akhundova will inform participants about Azerbaijan's experience in this sphere," the parliament said.
