Many in Yerevan dream of opening border with Turkey without giving up occupied territories to Azerbaijan: Central Asia-Caucasus Institute chairman

13 October 2009 [13:12] - TODAY.AZ
Chairman of the Central Asia-Caucasus Institute, Research Professor S. Frederick Starr says following the signing of the protocols relations between Turkey and Armenia will become much more active.
“My sense is that the "real politics" begins, rather than ends, with the signing of the protocols. Be prepared for fireworks from either or both sides,” Starr said.

“Beyond the protocols, many in Yerevan doubtless dream of opening the border with Turkey, without giving up the occupied territories back to Azerbaijan. Much time will probably be lost while Armenia pursues this fantasy. In the end it will find itself once again face to face with reality,” the professor said.
