On Oct.14, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan will visit Turkey to attend the Turkey-Armenia football match as part of the World Cup qualifier, the Turkish CNN Turk's web site reported.

Sargsyan's visit will take place on the backdrop of signing of the Ankara-Yerevan protocols on the normalization of relations in Zurich on Oct.10.
The Turkish-Armenian protocols need to be ratified by parliaments of both countries so that they will take effect.
On Oct.12, the Armenian national football team arrived in the Turkish city of Bursa to participate in the return football match with Turkey as part of World Cup qualifier to be held on Oct. 14, the Turkish media reported.
Diplomatic relations between Turkey and Armenia have been severed since 1993 due to Armenians' claims of international recognition of so-called "genocide" and the
occupation of Azerbaijani territories by Armenian troops.
The Turkish officials have stated that the protocols will not be ratified by Turkey's parliament until the Azerbaijan-Armenia Nagorno-Karabakh conflict is resolved.
