Azerbaijan sets date for municipal elections

The municipal election campaign has been officially launched in Azerbaijan.
Elections will be held on December 23, the Chairman of the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Azerbaijan Mazahir Panahov announced at today's meeting.  

The number of municipalities in Azerbaijan as a result of their merger reduced from 2,760 to 1,720 recently.
