Adviser to Azerbaijan's s president on military affairs comments on country's military doctrine

Azerbaijan's Military Doctrine was expected to be discussed during the spring session of the parliament, but it was not included in the agenda.

NATO provided a positive feedback on Azerbaijan's Military Doctrine. Currently, a document "Review of Strategic Defense in the years 2009-2015", which will reflect the principles of military doctrine is under development.  

Aliyev said a document that is to prepared by late 2009-early 2010, will be presented to the president and made public.

The document will reflect Azerbaijan's tasks on defense and security and its execution, as well as powers of all agencies related to security and defense, Aliyev added.
