Azerbaijani, Kazakh ruling parties to conclude agreement

Ruling parties of Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan, New Azerbaijan Party (NAP) and Nur Otan, will sign an agreement on cooperation.
The agreement will be signed during the visit of the NAP delegation headed by senior NAP official Ali Ahmadov to Kazakhstan, the Azerbaijani embassy in Kazakhstan said.

"The delegation will visit Astana upon the invitation of the Kazakh ruling People's Democratic Party Nur Otan," the party said,

The main aim of the visit is to attend the the fifth General Assembly of the International Conference of Asian Political Parties (ICAPP), where NAP has membership.

"The conference will discuss ways to solve the global economic crisis and its consequences, increasing role of the young political leaders and women in public life," the same source added.

The NAP was established by the chairman of the Supreme Majlis of Nakhchivan Heydar Aliyev in 1992. The current President Ilham Aliyev is the chairman of the Party which has been ruling for already 16 years.
