Speaker of Turkish parliament to make a trip to Azerbaijan

Speaker of Turkish parliament Mehmet Ali Shahin will pay an official visit to Azerbaijan.
The visit is scheduled for Sept. 25. Though the program of the visit has not been specified, Mehmet Ali Shahin will reportedly hold hold official meetings on Sept. 26-27.

The Speaker will also attend the meeting of Turkic-Speaking Countries Parliamentary Assembly in Baku on Sept. 28-29.

Shahin will also attend the meeting of speakers of Turkic-Speaking Countries parliaments.

This is the first foreign visit of Mehmet Ali Shahin in the post of Speaker of Turkish parliament.

Chairman of Azerbaijani parliament’s Azerbaijan-Turkey Friendship Group Nizami Jafarov said the meeting of Turkic-Speaking Countries Parliamentary Assembly will be held on Sept.  25-30.

The participation of speakers from Azerbaijan, Turkey, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan has been confirmed.

“Participation of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan has not been decided yet,” he said.
