Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev congratulated Muammar Gaddafi, Ivan Gasparovic and Islam Karimov on their countries' national holidays on Aug. 31.

President Aliyev has sent a letter of congratulation to Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi on his country`s Great Revolution Day.
In his letter, the President expressed confidence relations between Azerbaijan and Libya will continue developing in an atmosphere of friendship and cooperation. The Azerbaijani leader wished Libyan President strong health and successes in his activities, and the friendly people of Libya stability and welfare.
Azerbaijan President Aliyev has sent a letter of congratulation to President of Slovakia Ivan Gasparovic on his country`s Constitution Day.
The letter says: “I strongly believe Azerbaijan and Slovakia will continue developing their friendship and cooperation for our countries` mutual interests.”
President Aliyev also wished Ivan Gasparovic “robust health and successes in your activities,” and “the friendly people of Slovakia peace and prosperity”.
Ilham Aliyev has sent a letter of congratulation to President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov on his country`s Independence Day.
The Head of State expressed confidence that “we will continue joint efforts to strengthen Azerbaijan-Uzbekistan friendship and relations and expand our cooperation both in the bilateral format and within international organizations in accordance with the will of our peoples who share common spiritual values”.
President Aliyev also wished Uzbek President “robust health, happiness and successes in your activities and the friendly people of your country welfare and prosperity."
