The delegation led by brigade general of Jordanian Royal Corps of Engineers (JRCE) Zohair Mohad Fandi Al-Azzam visited Goygol Training Center of the Azerbaijan National Mine Action Agency (ANAMA).
The guests watched the process of mine sweep and training of 17 Georgian military engineers to at an ANAMA base.
“Humanitarian mine sweep operation is an honorable work. Rapprochement in Azerbaijan-Jordanian relations in sphere of mine sweep is very positive and necessary. ANAMA uses the most modern equipment in the world,” Brigadier-General Royal Engineering Corps Armed Forces of Jordan Mohd Fundy Zohair Al-Azzam told journalists.
Ways of using detector dogs and special equipment were also demonstrated during the training.
“We have demonstrated here the use of military vehicles to clear mines and ability of our dogs,” manager of ANAMA training base in Namiq Mammadov said.
Under plan of military cooperation between Azerbaijan and Jordan for 2009-2010, Jordan servicemen are also planned to be trained in this base.
