Azerbaijani Democratic Party issues statement on Xinjiang events

The party said the meeting focused on socio-political situation in the country and worldwide.

The meeting also focused on the recent events in Xinjiang Uighur Autonomous Region of China. The ADP expressed concern over repression towards Uighur population and urged to release the detained Uighurs and international organization to pay more attention to the problem.

The Nagorno-Karabakh conflict was also debated. The party believes that a unified position must be demonstrated regarding national interests.
