Meeting of Azerbaijani, Armenian presidents is expected to be effective: ruling party deputy chairman

We believe results could be liberation of the occupied territories and return of internally displaced persons.

If the negotiation process intensifies and the presidents can meet, it means that the meetings could be effective”, said Deputy Chairman and Executive Secretary of New Azerbaijan Party (YAP) Ali Ahmadov expressing his expectation from the meeting of Azerbaijani and Armenian presidents on July 17-18 in Moscow.

Ahmadov said Russia, as a co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group, intensified its efforts towards the settlement of Karabakh conflict recently. He said if Russia, as an influential country in the region and in the settlement of the conflict, actively participated in the processes, it creates certain optimistic thoughts and ideas.

“We hope that the meetings will give positive results. Everyone understands that it is a time to solve the conflict.Stability in the South Caucasus depends on the fair solution to this conflict. We mean under the fair solution the restoration of the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan when say. The solution is impossible outside it”.

Speaking about the visit to Nagorno Karabakh and Armenia, Ahmadov said “everything should be done for the solution of the problem”.
