President of Poland expected to visit Azerbaijan in early July - UPDATED

"President of Poland Lech Kaczynski is expected to visit Azerbaijan in early July, said Azerbaijani ambassador to Poland Vilayat Guliyev.

"Kaczynski will pay an official visit to Azerbaijan", said the ambassador.

"The aim of the visit is to develop bilateral ties between Azerbaijan and Poland. The program and exact date of the visit have not yet been specified and are being coordinated", said Guliyev.

"Kaczynski's visit to Baku is held at the invitation of the Azerbaijani President, who paid an official visit to Poland last year", concluded he.

Polish president Lech Kaczynski is expected to trip to Azerbaijan soon, head of the Polish Seim's delegation to Azerbaijan Vieslaw Voda said at a meeting with New Azerbaijan Party Deputy Chairman Ali Ahmadov.

A delegation led by Poland -Azerbaijan inter-parliamentary working group head Voda visited Azerbaijan on June 16.

Views were exchanged on development of bilateral relations. Ahmadov described history of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict to the Polish official. Ahmadov said Baku has always taken constructive position to resolve the conflict by peaceful means.

Voda said Poland unequivocally supports Azerbaijan in Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and recognizes Azerbaijan's territorial integrity.
