"There are no Azerbaijani citizens among those who suffered during demonstrations", said ambassador of Azerbaijan to Iran Abbasali Hasanov.

"The things that are now going on in Iran are internal affairs and we do not interfere with the internal affairs of other states. There is no threat for Azerbaijanis, everything is alright", noted Hasanov.
Notably, supporters of Mir Hussein Musawi, the main rival of re-elected Iranian president Mahmud Ahmadinejad, launched an unsanctioned action of protest in Iran on June 13. The opposition leaders declared that demonstrations in Tehran will continue unless the results of elections are not annulled, said former president's brother.
By official version, Mahmud Ahmadinejad won the June 12 presidential elections. Yet opposition supporters accuse the authorities of falsifications and state that most votes went to Musavi. The protest actions involve tens of thousands of people. The police uses tear gas to disperse the crowd.
